Marefat Pardis Toos held “Developing a Responsible Tourism Offer: Designing and Planning Tourism Itineraries” workshop on 03 November 2021 at Great Museum of Khorasan in Mashhad, Khorasan Razavi province.
Forty participants including local authorities, tour guides, tour and travel agencies, accommodation managers and officials of tourism-related institutions will attend this event which will be organized as part of the DEVCO co-funded “Promoting Responsible Tourism for Sustainable Heritage Protection” project and aimed to raise awareness.
Dr Kashri talked about the itinerary package of Khorasan. Due to Khorasan’s great potential to promote, this itinerary aimed to introduce it from a different perspective.
In this workshop, Dr. Ahmad Sebt Hosseini gave a presentation on developing tour packages and participated in responsible tourism strategies. He talked about identifying resources and considering local culture and local communities. It was mentioned that improving responsible tourism will lead to creating more job opportunities and improving the life quality of local people.
He talked about the experience of Golestan and what was implemented in Khorasan. He talked about zero kilometers. Tourists want to know the local society and know about their customs, food, etc.
