On 19th September 2020, at the <\/strong><\/span>Golestan MFA Office in\u00a0 Gorgan<\/strong>, Golestan province, a meeting was held, facilitated by the Marefat Pardis Toos project team , and attended by the NECOS team.<\/span><\/p>

This event was organised as part of the DEVCO co-funded \u201cPromoting Responsible Tourism for Sustainable Heritage Protection\u201d and aimed to raise awareness amongst key stakeholders of Golestan on the importance and value added of responsible tourism in protecting local cultural heritage. <\/span><\/p>

Key stakeholders participating in the event included the Representative of the MFA,\u00a0 and Deputy Minister of Tourism of the General Administration in Golestan Province. Participants talked about Golestan Province’s capacity and needs , ways of cooperating to promote tourism in Golestan, tourism as a way of communication that provides people a chance to learn about each other’s culture, the Italian best practice, and the ways that could improve tourism in Golestan.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
