On 8th October 2020<\/strong>, at Gorgan in Golestan Province<\/strong>, an Awareness Building Event was held, facilitated by the Marefat Pardis Toos<\/strong> project team, and attended by 11 participants<\/strong> from NECOS<\/strong> and\u00a0 MPT team<\/strong> and from Tourism representatives of Golestan<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>

This event was organised as part of the DEVCO co-funded \u201cPromoting Responsible Tourism for Sustainable Heritage Protection<\/em>\u201d project\u00a0 and aimed to raise awareness amongst key stakeholders of Golestan on the importance and value added of responsible tourism in protecting local cultural heritage<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Key stakeholders participating in the event included the representative of Tourism, Cultural Heritage and Handicrafts of Golestan Province <\/strong><\/span>who talked about works that have been done, the needs of Golestan to improve tourism and of the local communities for training about responsible tourism.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
